About

Built by someone who kept abandoning solo timers

COPOMO is an independent focus workspace and guide library. I am Alex: I design and maintain the product, write the long-form guides, and answer mail that arrives at copomo.app@gmail.com.

Why COPOMO exists

I built COPOMO after years of knowing the Pomodoro Technique worked in theory and failing it in practice. Solo apps were easy to snooze. Video body-doubling platforms helped, but they also asked for a camera, a calendar slot, and enough social energy that hard days became “I'll focus later.”

What I actually needed was quieter: a shared countdown with one or two people, optional chat, and no expectation to perform presence on video. Virtual body doubling without the Zoom costume. That is the product COPOMO is: and the blog explains the habits around it so the timer is not the only useful thing on the domain.

ADHD-friendly design shows up in the details: clear starts and stops, low visual noise, claimable rewards that do not interrupt a focus block, and honest caveats that this is not therapy. If a feature starts feeling like another feed to manage, I try to cut it back.

Who this site is for

Students running exam sprints. Remote workers who need a virtual office hour. Writers and developers who start easier when someone else is also on the clock. Friends who want accountability without turning study into a hangout stream.

If you already deep-work alone without friction, you may only need the solo timer. If meetings and cameras exhaust you, a tiny synced room is often a better middle path than large public study streams.

What you will find here

  • A free solo Pomodoro dashboard and co-op rooms with a shared clock (try it on the homepage).
  • Long-form guides on body doubling, ADHD-friendly routines, attention, and running small online study groups (COPOMO Blog).
  • Clear pricing for Free vs Pro, including what “ad-free” means (Pricing).

What I will not do

  • Sell your focus history or session contents as a data product.
  • Require a camera or microphone to get value from a room.
  • Present COPOMO as clinical treatment or a diagnosis tool.
  • Stuff every page with ads next to empty UI chrome: ads stay on content pages for free visitors; Pro removes them.
